TSRC – That’s a wrap for the 2018 season

Hi Everyone, Well that’s a wrap for the 2018 Australian season – and what a season it was. Great snow right from the first day of training – resulting in the athletes having lots of quality hours on the hill – and thanks to the great work of Richard, KT and the grooming team – excellent mountain access and lane space.  This year saw TSRC provide consistent quality training from a great team of coaches. We had access to lane space on a daily bases that allowed age appropriate courses for SL and GS from FIS through to the under 12’s and we also provided a good mix of skills, drills, free skiing and technical free skiing as well as time on the “blades”.  While in most cases training hard – the athletes also appeared to have a pretty good time – with friendships and a supportive culture being a key attribute of the “club”. Before we all move into summer mode and then for many, head over to the northern winter ski fields there are a few items to wrap up; Volunteers We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the TSRC volunteers including parents, carers, past members and friends of the club. TSRC is a “Not for profit” – with no government or external funding. Without the volunteer “army” that is TSRC we could not do what we do. From day one this season the “army” was on the job – getting the club house ready, repairing equipment, cleaning the club house, running the TSRC cup, Interschools starters for Northern Division, States, the Redlands cup, and a fantastic volunteer effort...

Training/Racing 12 September

SSA Children’s Carnival – Last Day!! Ski Cross on High Noon Meet at the bottom of Gunbarrell Chair at 8:15am for bib allocation. You will need to allow time to get all of your gear together in the clubhouse and catch the bus to Friday Flat. Remember Ski Cross clothing rules. Gunbarrell Chair to top of course for inspection from 8:45am to 9:15am. Training from 9:45 to 10:45. 1 run each. 11:10am Forerunner Qualifying Run starts at 11:15am. Finals from 1:30pm. Presentation of Ski Cross medals and overall age group champions ASAP after finals finish and pull down of course.   Frenchy says you should take your long and short GS skis....

Training Update 11 September 2018

Hi all, Great racing today. Results have been posted on line on the TSRC website. Tomorrow is the same schedule as today. Athletes to be at the clubhouse at 6:30am for a 6:50am chairlift line up. 7am load and 7:15 inspect. Actual timing is at the mercy of the weather gods. See you bright and early tomorrow....
