Start of Season Information
Hi Everyone,
I sent out a SMS to all mobile telephone numbers provided to the Treasurer/Registrar earlier this week. If you didn’t receive one then you are not on the communication list. To be added to this, please see the office when the season starts.
This will be the main mode of daily communication re daily training schedule along with the notice board in the club rooms.
1. Saturday 4th July
Training for all groups starts at 8.30am – in skis on snow ready, to go.
Training Groups will be listed in the clubrooms. Other than FIS and Under 10’s , the training groups are provisional and are likely to change.
We have 22 new training members this year that need be evaluated by the coaches.
The Head Coach, his coaches, the Club President and Club Captain determine training groups. Their decision is final and we do not want parents interfering in this process. Regardless of what training group your son or daughter will be in, they will all receive excellent coaching and the use of the mountain from 7am when the skiing conditions are often at there best (except Under 10’s will be start from 8.30am).
2. Fees & Forms
The Treasurer advises that over 90% of the forms & fees are in, and he hopes to have 100% before Saturday. Thank you to all the parents for assisting in this process as this allows us to start the season focused purely on skiing.
3. Uniforms
The club’s Uniform policy will be strictly enforced after a couple of transitional days. I know that a number of people will collect jackets and uniforms on the first day.
The club prides itself on the appearance of its members hence our desire to have everyone attired in the same uniform.
Please make sure every piece of clothing, gear and skis are names. Given 58 training members and an average of 4 skis per person, there are 240 pairs of skis in the clubrooms.
The people to see re Uniforms are - Colin Hodkinson who can help you TSRC jacket and pant (colin@beyondx.com.au) / 0412 258 552 or Felicity Bidencope for FIS Black Carbon Jacket (woodhome@bigpond.net.au) / 0419 231 490.
4. Sponsor’s Logos on Uniforms
TSRC has two main sponsors – St Hilliers Properties and Hokkaido Tracks. It is compulsory for everyone to have there logos on your child’s jackets – either TSRC or FIS Carbon jacket.
If you don’t have both logos please put you name on a list in the Office and the club will arrange for a person to come in one evening to put the logos on the uniforms.
5.Lockers
Lockers have been allocated and should have your child’s name on it. Lockers have been allocated in age groupings. The lockers are large and hold a number of pairs of skis – between 4 and 6 pairs depending how you stack them along with room for clothing and equipment.
Everyone should have a lock (medium size) and at least 2 keys – one for your child and one for the parent. Attach the key to their season pass. We do have bolt cutters in the Office however we only use these in desperate circumstances.
Please tell your children not to interfere with anyone else’s equipment. In past years we have had incidents of people changing other peoples setting on there skis – this is very dangerous and will not be tolerated by the club.
6. Clubrooms
The clubrooms are mainly the domain of the training members particularly in the mornings when things are very busy. Only training members can store equipment in the Clubrooms. There is a parents storage room underneath the Clubroom which you will need an access key. This can be obtained from the Office but only parents of training members who assist with races can use this room.
7. Important Dates
- Sunday 5th July – welcome BBQ around 12.30pm outside clubrooms.

Volunteers are always needed for these races whether you are on the course or helping with the administration tasks.During the season we will provide more information on these events. Lists for volunteers for certain events will appear on the notice board, so I encourage you to put your name down to help.
Looking forward to a great season both on and off the snow.
