Training Programs

Thredbo Ski Racing Club will be offering in 2009 a selection of training programs to suit many athletes; Under 10 (born 1999 and 2000), K1 and K2 child (born from 1995 to 1999) and FIS (born 1994 and before). In addition to this, we are also offering full time training programs for the most dedicated of athletes to gain the maximum out of the season. TSRC specially selects its coaches to offer the best match for the programs. Behind them is many years of experience. This has helped prepare many athletes (both past and present) for the highest levels of competition, at international, World Championships and Olympic levels.

All TSRC athletes are members of the club. This provides the athletes with much proven support. Surrounding younger athletes with the support of elders, and elders with others to work. This is an essential part of helping the athletes to grow and develop to the best of their potential. A community atmosphere can help them feel like they belong and can perform. Programs

Juniors Program

This program is for the early development of children born in the years 1999 and 2000.

The cost of this program for the 2009 Season is (AUD) $2,700.

14 and Under Training Program

The Directors have affirmed the criteria for new training members for the 2009 season. All training members must be born durring the years 1998 to 1995, and meet minimum skier skills criteria. The suitability of any new skier will be determined by the Head Coach, President and Club Captain.

This program includes training for 3 weeks during the school holidays (with 2 days off), weekends during the season and the Friday before the children races (this includes the TSRC Cup, Blue Cow Cup and National Children's Championships).

The cost of this program for the 2009 Season is (AUD) $2,700.

FIS Training Program

This program includes training for 3 weeks during the school holidays (with 2 days off), weekends during the season and the Friday before the SSA races (This includes the TSRC Cup, Blue Cow Cup), and additional days around the FIS races.

The cost of this program for the 2009 Season is (AUD) $3,000.

Extra Training

Extra training opportunities are posted on the calendar. anyone interested in extra training days must notify the program director as early as possible and no later than 2 weeks prior to the scheduled training day. the cost for extra training is on a per-deim basis, "first come - first serve."

Fee Schedule and Code of Conduct

The fee schedule (which is also used to select athlete's desired training programs) is available here. It is requested that this is completed, received and paid by the 20th of June, 2008. Please make sure all required forms have been received by the club secretary by the 1st of June, 2009. The code of conduct is also required by all training members, and can be found here.
