Name: Craig Branch Nationality: Australian Hometown: Cronulla, NSW

As the Program Director, Craig comes to TSRC with 35 years of experience in Alpine ski racing and a very broad knowledge having both competed and coached at the highest levels of the sport. From these experiences Craig has gained an in-depth knowledge of the challenges, the expectations and what it takes to succeed at the highest level. This is seen as an invaluable asset to TSRC and it’s future development as a Club.

Craig has competed and coached throughout every level of the pathway in the sport. He has represented Australia at 3 Olympic Winter Games, 6 FIS World Championship Teams and competed for a number of years on the World Cup circuit throughout Europe and Nth America. He is one of only a small number of Australian’s to ever ski into the elite top 30 in the World Cup. Moving directly into coaching after his athletic career Craig has coached and managed various programs and athletes around the world ranging from the World Cup level to U12 Club athletes, the Aus Paralympic Team and everything in between including his current role at TSRC for the past few years.

In his role at TSRC Craig looks forward to using his vast experience to continually improve and add value to the TSRC Club offering.  To create a structure and environment which gives young aspiring athletes their best opportunity at progressing through the pathway of the sport, and maybe one day make it to the World Cup. He believes it all starts at the Club level as it did for him many years ago, and looks forward to seeing more Aussie’s on the World Cup circuit in the future.

Name: Christian Geiger Nationality: Australian / Austrian Hometown: Bright, Victoria

As a dual citizen, Christian spent continuous winters with family between Austria and Australia since he was a child. Naturally he skied a lot, and became one of Australia’s top junior alpine ski racer’s, already representing Australia at the FIS World Championships in Val’d’Isere France at age 20.

A near fatal car accident the same year halted Christian ski racing career as he spent two years in recovery. Christian returned to high-level ski racing but the injuries sustained did not allow him to fulfil his potential.

Christian’s passion for the sport pushed him down the path of coaching for the Australian Paralympic Team and also working as a guide for visually impaired athletes.

Spanning many years with the team as Head Coach, technical coach and guide, Christian coached multiple medals across various benchmark events (World Championships & Paralympics). Two Paralympic Games and 3 Paralympic medals later Christian moved on to become the Head Coach of Perisher Winter Sports Club for a number of years before joining the team at Thredbo Ski Racing Club in 2021.

Christian’s deep knowledge of high-level ski racing and his vast experience over his many years in the sport are invaluable to TSRC. His passion for the sport is evident from his daily work ethic, the knowledge he imparts and the care he shows to teaching young athletes. An asset to our coaching team.

Name: Mila Randall Nationality: Australian Hometown: Narrabeen, Sydney / Thredbo, NSW

The Randall family have a long history of living and working in Thredbo. Mila grew up skiing Thredbo from a very young age, honing her skills and learning the sport as a TSRC athlete for many years. Mila competed through the National Children’s series and onto the FIS level in Australia. For the last 7 years Mila’s love for the sport has seen her spend winters at home and abroad working and gaining qualifications in Australia and Canada.

As a former TSRC athlete, it’s fantastic to have Mila stay within the Club and develop into a great addition to the coaching team over the past 3 years.

Mila wants athletes at all ages to enjoy the ski-racing ride for what it is, and not just the outcome. She strongly believes with a strong work ethic and clear goals, the results will show and the sport will teach you invaluable life lessons.
